I have a confession. I cheated on my foundation with two other different brand foundations and I LOVE IT!!!!! (Sorry but not sorry). The foundations involved are my first love; MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation NW45, NARS Luminous Weightless Foundation in Benares, and Make Up For Ever HD Foundation #178.
This is a big deal to me because I have been loyal to my MAC foundation for years. I got into the makeup phase late when I was finishing college. I always thought since genetics blessed me with clear smooth skin, I didn't need to wear foundation. Well maybe it was a mixture of peer pressure from my fabulous and gorgeous friends who were always dolled up, or me seeing my face on pictures on facebook that I went to MAC for my foundation. And how proud did I feel. I could finally afford to spend thirty something dollars on high-end makeup without breaking a sweat. My hard work and going to school was paying off lol. Anyways once I started learning more about makeup and makeup application I realized I wanted more from my foundation. I did my research (My fav Youtube gurus Jackie Aina and Jennie Jenkins) took the plunge and purchased first the NARS, then the MUFE.
I have combination skin meaning I have an oily t-zone so this affects how I apply each of the foundations and other products that I also use.. For a long night out I grab my MUFE because it feels more comfortable on my skin. This foundation provides a medium coverage and a natural look that photographs the best of all 3. The NARS foundation in Benares provides a fuller coverage and feels weightless on the skin. A little goes a long way so that is a plus since it costs the most. I wear this for when I am going out on a short date night or party since my face starts to get oily after about 4 hours. This foundation does photograph really well. Last but not least, my original bae MAC studio fix fluid. This is usually my go-to foundation that I wear the most. I feel like this matches my skin tone perfectly. It is long wearing but the shine will break through after a couple of hours so I carry some blotting paper for a quick blot. Finally, this foundation provides a medium coverage and is gently on my skin (it hasn't made me break out).
There you have it folks!! I really do feel lighter after this confession.
